Israeli actress/model Gal Gadot is the new Wonder Woman. The Fast & Furious star will don spandex for the iconic role in the upcoming Man of Steel sequel being referred to as Batman Vs. Superman.
“Wonder Woman is arguably one of the most powerful female characters of all time and a fan favorite in the DC Universe,” the film’s director Zack Snyder told American media. “Not only is Gal an amazing actress, but she also has that magical quality that makes her perfect for the role. We look forward to audiences discovering Gal in the first feature film incarnation of this beloved character.”
Gadot will star opposite Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck.
In addition to her Fast & Furious credits, Gadot’s Hollywood track record also includes Knight and Day and Date Night.
Gadot is one of Israel’s top 10 names in Hollywood.
