A day at the beach is a must when visiting Israel almost any time of year, and the choices are most bountiful along Israel’s 273-kilometer (170-mile) Mediterranean Sea coastline.

The ideal beach vacation in Israel won’t require you to take a taxi in your swimsuit because there are scores of hotels situated on or very near the beach.

Once you scarf down that famous Israeli breakfast compliments of the hotel, simply slather on the sunscreen and walk out the front door. What could be more relaxing?

Here are our choices for 10 of the best seaside hotels on Israel’s Mediterranean shore, going from north to south.
