From Hansel & Gretel to Pinocchio and Peter Pan, the who’s who of children’s fairy tales is taking part in a new exhibit at the Eretz Israel Museum in Tel Aviv.
It’s being dubbed as a family-oriented exhibit . . . and, indeed, it is difficult not to be amazed by these giant sand sculptures.
Some 700 tons of sand was brought in for the exhibition.
Sculptors from the World Sand Sculpting Academy (see video below) in The Hague are busy putting the final touches on the 18 sculptures set to take over the museum’s courtyard.
The stories on display come from both general and Israeli fables. They include: Cinderella, Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs, Puss in Boots, Pinocchio, Little Red Riding Hood, Eliezer and The Carrot, Utz Li Gutz Li, Noah’s Ark and Beauty & The Beast.
‘Stories in Sand’ runs from July 20 – August 31 at the Eretz Israel Museum in Tel Aviv.
