Zooz Power of Lod signed a non-exclusive distribution agreement with US-based Blink Charging for the marketing, distribution, sale, and deployment of the ZOOZTER-100 electric vehicle (EV) charging system in the United States.

Zooz – Hebrew for “move” – makes a carbon-neutral technology for fast charging electric vehicles in places where the power grid cannot handle multiple cars at once.

Zooz’s unique flywheel technology boosts the capabilities of an existing power grid by up to three times.

Blink runs 51,000 charging ports across 25 countries.

Zooz and Blink are already collaborating through a joint R&D program partly funded by the BIRD Foundation (US-Israel Bilateral Industrial R&D), establishing a pilot site in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, expected to be operational in second quarter of 2023.

Zooz recently announced a pilot installation at New York’s LaGuardia Airport and additional pilot projects with ARKO, one of the largest convenience store operators in the US; the New York Power Authority; and a large car rental agency.

“We are collaborating with reputable large-scale companies throughout the US which understand the need for ultrafast charging of electric vehicles, further serving as the industry’s global trailblazer,” said Zooz CEO Boaz Weizer.

“All four pilot projects are projected to become operational within a few months and we believe that they will accelerate our penetration into the US market and further feed Zooz’s growth.”
