An Israeli cloud security company was recently chosen as Amazon Web Services’ global security partner of the year for 2022 in recognition of its contribution to the web giant’s cloud computing platform and its customers.
Orca Security was founded in 2019 and is valued at $1.8 billion. It employs some 400 people in Tel Aviv, London and Portland as well as elsewhere around the world.
Its collects data used to identify bugs, malware, incorrect settings, weak passwords, leaks and risks without the need for installations that increase workloads and affect system performance.
The 2022 AWS Partner Awards are handed out across many fields, including design, sustainability, social impact, data and analytics, education, and aerospace and satellite, among others, on regional or global levels.
The Security Partner Award, according to AWS, “recognizes partners with the AWS Security Competency that have proven customer success securing every stage of cloud adoption, from initial migration through ongoing day-to-day management.”
“Winning the Amazon global partner award is a huge pride for us, especially against the background of the deep cooperation that has developed between the companies and the deep partnership between AWS and Orca,” says Orca Security CEO Avi Shua.
Last year, Orca Security was named a 2021 Gartner Cool Vendor.
