Some 20,000 people laced up their running shoes and donned red t-shirts for Tel Aviv’s NightRun, an unusual sporting event celebrating the city’s vibrant after-hours culture.

Reflecting the young international feel of the city, announcements were made in several languages and the runners represented a broad spectrum of Israeli and immigrant residents of the Israeli city that never sleeps.
