Stars Adamari López, Toni Costa and Maite Perroni are in Israel as part of a week-long sponsored trip that introduces them to the country’s best archaeological, religious and modern sites.

America’s Voices in Israel, together with the Tourism Ministry, is a program that brings media and entertainment personalities for personal experiences in Israel to help spread the country’s positive messages.

Mexican Telenovela actress Perroni, Puerto Rican actress and Telemundo host Lopez and husband-dancer Costa, as well as Perroni’s mother, are keeping fans up-to-date along the way, as they post photos on social media of their visits to the Western Wall in Jerusalem, eating hummus, getting baptized in the Jordan River, shopping at Mahane Yehuda and Sarona markets, slathering mud at the Dead Sea, visiting the Israel Museum, visiting the Bahai Gardens in Haifa, walking in Jaffa, and visiting the country’s holy churches.

“One woman stood crying and shaking, she was so happy to see me,” Lopez told Times of Israel. “It’s a message for the people who live here that we’re willing to come and they should feel proud that they’re from here and that someone they admire comes to their country.”
