Everyone celebrates Yom Kippur in their own way. This unique holiday, where roads, rails and even the skies, close to traffic for one day, leaves the country silent and peaceful.

While many take part in the traditional fast, others take to their bikes, and skateboards, and scooters, to enjoy the empty roads.

In Tel Aviv, two women took a different approach to the holiday and settled in the middle of the road for a session of Yoga.

Elsewhere, Israelis spelled out a special message of their own for the holiday with the aid of record label, Joy Records.
