Make way for the Mad Hatter, the Cheshire Cat, Caterpillar, Queen of Hearts and the White Rabbit . . . they’re all headed for the Israeli Opera’s stages this week.

The Israeli Opera’s original production of Alice in Wonderland was so well received last year that the company decided to restage it this summer as well.

Based on Lewis Carroll’s classic, the colorful Israeli opera was composed by David Sebba, the music director of the Israeli Opera’s Opera Studio.

A suite at the Kursi Beach Hotel in the Galilee.
The family-oriented production is sung in Hebrew and is accompanied by piano and an ensemble from the Raanana Symphonette Orchestra.
Alice in Wonderland takes the stage August 2-4 at the Israeli Opera House in Tel Aviv.
