Photographer Noam Chen specializes in the high-dynamic-range (HDR) technique that creates super-saturated, hyper-realistic images of — among other subjects — beautiful landscapes of Israel.
He has documented conferences, concerts and gala events with landscape and portrait work published in newspapers and magazines in Israel, the UK, US and Canada, and clients ranging from advertising agencies, real estate companies, galleries and hotels to Israel’s Ministry of Tourism.
This year, in time for Rosh HaShanah, the Jewish New Year, Chen is issuing a calendar called Landscapes of Israel that features stunning images of the country at its finest.
Working together with design studio Gam v’Gam, Chen came up with two versions: a Hebrew-language calendar that runs from September 2014 to August 2015, and an English-language calendar that follows the 2015 January to December Gregorian calendar. Both versions list the major US and Jewish holidays.
Chen feels that the the calendar’s powerful images, as with the video posted below that he created last year for Rosh HaShanah, can better connect people living abroad with Israel.
He is also proud to market an Israeli-made product saying, “I encourage everyone, even if they don’t buy this calendar of mine, to buy any other Israeli products. My modest way to contribute in the fight against the boycott on Israel.”
