Emmy and Golden Globe Award nominee Liev Schreiber landed in Israel this week without fanfare, leaving a clue only in the photo of the Tel Aviv beach he posted on his Instagram page before the trip alongside the message “Looking forward to warmer weather, good humus, and lots of fizzy bobolah!”
It seems the “Ray Donovan” Showtime series star was in Israel for a friend’s wedding and also gave a master class for drama students at Tel Aviv University on the afternoon of February 5.
“Great actor, great person, great heart,” posted Israeli actor Ohad Knoller, who hosted the class.
The 6-foot-3 Schreiber, who has acted or directed numerous movies including “The Sum of All Fears,” “The Omen,” “Defiance,” “Phantoms,” “Chuck,” “Everything is Illuminated” and “Spotlight,” was last in Israel in 2009 with his then-partner, Naomi Watts, and their two young sons.
During that trip, the family visited Keren Kayemeth L’Israel-Jewish National Fund’s bomb-proof indoor recreation center in the Gaza border town of Sderot and planted trees in a JNF forest.
