The roles of technology and media in tourism as well as city branding and hotel design are all on the agenda for a new international tourism conference set to be held in Jerusalem on March 29-31.
The conference will feature panels of world renowned experts in fields related to the travel and tourism sector, including the leaders of cultural institutions, technology innovators, media experts and government officials.
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu will get things started. Others set to speak at the event include Chris Matthews of NBC & MSNBC, MTV Networks International founder Bill Roedy, Internet entrepreneur Yossi Vardi and Israel Museum director James Snyder, who was recently named one of the 50 most influential people in the art world.
Panel discussions will focus on current trends in the tourism industry including: The Economic Impact of Tourism and Sustainable Development; Cultural Institutions and Events as Catalyst for Tourism; The Role of Media in Generating Tourism; and Innovation in Hotel Design.
