Israel’s Road-Guard wins Forum Nokia Eco-Challenge at GSMARoad-Guard of Israel has won the $25,000 Grand Prize in the Forum Nokia Calling All Innovators Eco-Challenge, a contest for mobile applications and solutions to help improve the quality of life on the planet. Road-Guard developed GreenDrive, an application that promotes vehicular fuel efficiency by sensing current and impending road conditions that influence fuel consumption and providing real-time driving directions for the shortest route in the quickest time legally allowable. Nearly 1,000 developers competed in Eco-Challenge whose results were announced at the GSMA Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
