Israeli Ofir Leitner, a consultant to cellular companies, won one of the top prizes in UK Trade & Investment’s prestigious Your Business Tomorrow competition.
Hundreds of businesspeople from across the globe participated in the competition sponsored by the UK business website that asked them to predict the next big idea that will change the world in the coming decade.
The best predictions were voted for on a special website. Ofir Leitner from Israel, Yoshinori Ichikawa from Japan and Jennie Lees from the United States received the highest number of votes.
All three winners receive round-trip business class tickets to London with the opportunity to meet influential figures from the business world.
Richard Salt, Director of UK Trade & Investment in Israel said: “We congratulate Ofir on winning the competition and are impressed by the number of Israelis who submitted predictions and participated in the competition… Both countries value innovation and recognize its role in shaping the future.”
Ofir’s prediction is: “In 2020 virtual and augmented realities will blend into the physical world, making our global village more connected and unified. People and businesses will be able to collaborate from great distances overcoming cultural and geographical barriers, thus entering the greatest golden age of all times”.
