Israeli supermarket chain Co-Op expanding to USThe Israeli supermarket chain Co-Op plans to open stores in the US as part of an ongoing overseas push.
The chain announced plans to open 12 new stores in London and Manchester in the UK, and to begin opening outlets in Jewish areas in the US by the end of 2010.
Co-op operates 51 stores throughout Israel and had revenues of $345 million in 2008, making it the country’s third largest supermarket chain.
