Two Israeli universities have been named among the top 10 best international places to work for scientific researchers in the world, by The Scientist magazine.
The magazine, aimed at scientific researchers, ranked The Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot as the second top workplace, and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem as the fifth top.
The University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia, came first, and two British universities – the University of Dundee, and the John Innes Centre in Norwich, rounded out the top five institutions.
This is the third time the Weizmann Institute, which is renowned for its work in brain research, mathematics and computer science, has come second on The Scientist’s list. Both Hebrew University, and the Weizmann Institute are home to a number of Nobel prize winners.
