The Russian military will be dispatching a delegation to Israel in the coming weeks to learn from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) how to establish and operate Military Police, according to a recent report in The Jerusalem Post.

The report states that a top IDF officer said, “The Russians want to learn how to build and operate a military police force… They are coming to learn from us, which is of course a big compliment.”

The officer also reportedly said that Russian Gen. Vasily Smirnov, head of the Mobilization Department of the Russian Armed Forces, will arrive in Israel soon to meet with OC Military Police Corps Brig.-Gen. Meir Ohana.
