About 80,000 people came to Tel Aviv’s fifth annual Houses from Within weekend recently, which offered free guided tours of 140 sites chosen for their significant form, design, history, culture, technology or ecology.

Houses from Within

Tel Aviv opens its doors at the fifty annual Houses from Within event.

Billed as an urban celebration, Houses from Within is part of a global network of such annual events under the umbrella of the Open House International organization, taking place in cities such as London, Dublin, New York, Chicago, Rome, Barcelona and Melbourne.

Here is a peek at three of the sites: The home of David Ben-Gurion, the Bauhaus Cinema Hotel and several unique short-term rental apartments designed by Houses from Within founder, architect Alon Bin Nun.
