A unique computer-vision system for managing hospital operating room inventory won “Most Innovative Solution Management in Inventory Management Solutions Award in Europe 2022” from global business consulting firm Frost & Sullivan.

“We thank Frost & Sullivan for recognizing our flagship product, Snap & Go, as the most excellent solution for surgical inventory management,” said Identi Medical CEO and cofounder Shlomo Matityahu.

“The world of medicine is undergoing a revolution in the way hospitals choose to conduct their activities. Artificial intelligence technologies, data analysis and complex automations are at the heart of decisionmakers, with the understanding that only a healthy, efficient and cost-effective organization can provide better, safer and more dedicated care.”

So far, the cloud-based smart platform for managing surgical implants and narcotics inventory is used by medical centers, healthcare providers, device manufacturers (including J&J and Medtronic) and logistics companies in Israel and Europe.

According to health industry analyst Ram Ravi, Snap & Go could help US hospitals address the nearly $7.7 billion lost every year due to poor inventory tracking in ORs.

At Sheba Medical Center in Israel, more than 60 Snap & Go “smart cabinets” and associated management software have reduced the cost of excess inventory by between $2 million and $3 million.

Identi, which went public on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange last year, recently ranked 14th in the “50 Growth Companies in Israel” ranking by Statista business data platform.
