The David Kempinski Tel Aviv was named “Best New Hotel in The World 2022” at the 14th edition of luxury travel awards ceremony, the ULTRAs, October 31 in London.
With Kempinski Group properties shortlisted in several categories, the award was accepted on behalf of the Tel Aviv property by Timur Sentuerk, Kempinski’s Chief Operations Officer Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Opened in April 2022, the 5-star David Kempinski Tel Aviv marks the European luxury hospitality group’s first property in Israel.
Located on Tel Aviv’s beachfront, the 34-story hotel has 250 rooms, most with sea views, including 56 suites and a triplex penthouse, as well as kosher dining, a whisky and cigar bar, two swimming pools, a spa, event spaces and entertainment facilities.
General Manager Guy Klaiman said the prize “is a major vote of confidence in our commitment to offer our guests and discerning travelers an authentic and unrivaled hospitality experience of the highest level in Tel Aviv.”
The ULTRAs are organized by Nick Perry, chairman of multimedia brand Ultratravel, with whom Global Hotel Alliance, the world’s largest alliance of independent hotel brands, has a successful joint venture called the Ultratravel Collection.
