Analysis of 4,000 users of the Hello Heart free mobile therapeutic app reveals that, after six weeks of use, 25 percent had reduced their blood pressure by 10 points or more, with an average drop of 24 points.

Based in Tel Aviv and Silicon Valley, Hello Heart was launched in April 2015 to a target audience of people with chronic heart risk and high blood pressure. Individuals and employees of partner companies can use it on their iPhone, Apple Watch or Android phone to motivate and reward themselves for tracking and understanding data about their heart health.

The HIPAA-compliant secure app helps users organize, manage and understand all their lab results, doctor visits and medications, suggesting personalized actionable “baby steps” to implement incrementally toward better health.

Heart disease is the leading causes of death in the United States. Studies have shown that reducing blood pressure by 10 points can slash the chances of heart attack by half.

Hello Heart CEO Maayan Cohen told Fox Business News: “Unlike traditional behavioral medicine interventions, our app achieves superior engagement and sustained behavioral change without the need for constant face-to-face meetings with doctors and health coaches.”
