Jun. 24 –  Israeli company YCD Multimedia, a specialist in smart in-store digital media solutions, has closed a new $12 million round of financing led by venture capitalists and previous investors Pitango Venture Capital and Arts Alliance Digital Ventures. The round includes a conversion of a $3 million bridge load facility from Plenus to equity. YCD Multimedia was founded in 1999 by Noam Levavi, company president, and Dani Zeevi, CTO. It provides retailers with a turnkey platform to create, manage, distribute and optimize in-store digital media, enabling them to realize rapid measurable returns on investment from in-store digital media. To date it has raised $25 million, including the current round. The company, which employs 80, plans to use the proceeds from this round to continue buildings its presence in the US and UK markets, and to invest in product development.
