Israeli music fans have kicked off their summer concert line-up and while Elton John and Deep Purple have come and gone, Pharrell Williams just announced his arrival.

The ‘Happy’ star announced that he will perform his pop hits on July 21 at Rishon Lezion’s LIVE Park. Jazz guitarist Pat Metheny will be there on June 15. And American rapper Wiz Khalifa will perform at the venue on June 25.

The Rishon venue will also host Thrash rockers Megadeth on July 2 and DJ sensation AVICII on July 22.

Australian singer-songwriter Sia was meant to perform in Rishon Lezion as well but demand for ticket sales was higher than the 20,000 capacity allowed in LIVE Park and her concert was moved to Tel Aviv’s Yarkon Park. Sia will perform on August 11.

Open your calendar app and jot these dates down: South African rappers Die Antwoord (LIVE Park) and Beach Boys’ Brian Wilson (Ra’anana Amphitheater) will be performing at two separate events on June 8.

British pop band Simply Red will perform in Tel Aviv on June 14.

Foreigner is heading to Caesarea for two concerts – June 14 and 15. Brazilian Bossa Nova artist Sergio Mendes will perform two concerts there on June 23 and 24. And blues guitarist and singer Buddy Guy will be in Caesarea on July 13.

Heavy-metal’s Alice Cooper will make some noise in Tel Aviv’s Bloomfield Stadium on June 16.

American singer-songwriter Barry Manilow will make his Israeli debut in Tel Aviv on June 30.

The Scorpions are returning to Israel to Tel Aviv’s Yad Eliyahu Stadium with another dose of heavy metal on July 14.

There are many other music events on the summer calendar among them music festivals like Tomorrowland (Jerusalem) and Red Sea Jazz Festival (Eilat).

There are also swirling reports of the arrival of Beyoncé, Rihanna, Bruce Springsteen, and Duran Duran and others.
