Rapper Shyne has teamed up with Oleh! Records and the King David Foundation in a new initiative aimed at bringing Israeli musicians and educators to teach and inspire at-risk youth communities around the world with music education.

The name of the project is Let’s Fill This Town With Musicians.

“I really believe in music as an alternative to violence,” says Shyne, the former bad-boy recording artist now making a comeback as a virtuous rapper, in the promotional video campaign.

The project will kick off in Shyne’s native country, Belize. The campaign is trying to raise funds for a music education and resource center in Belize City. Organizers hope to use music to help some 500 at-risk youth get off the streets and get away from drugs and gang violence.

Shyne — who now embraces a Hasidic lifestyle — most recently paired up with Jewish rapper Matisyahu on a remix of the latter’s “Miracle,”a fun-loving song celebrating Hanukkah.
