snow

Snow is again forecast in Jerusalem this weekend, the third snowstorm to hit the capital this winter. The storm is expected to move into Israel overnight on Wednesday and will be accompanied by heavy rain, snow and low temperatures across the country. Weather forecasters are even predicting that it might snow in Haifa on Thursday. Roads into the capital are expected to close and Israel’s basketball league have postponed the State Cup game between Hapoel Jerusalem and Maccabi Tel Aviv, which was supposed to take place on Thursday, until next week.

This photo was taken during a winter storm in January when roads throughout Jerusalem were closed to traffic and the city ground to a standstill.

If you’ve got a photograph you’d like to feature on ISRAEL21c please send it in high resolution to info@israel21c.org. Every week we will choose the best one to feature on our pages.
