Jun. 29 –  The 13th Annual International Summit and Exhibition for Environmental Quality, Renewable Energy, Infrastructures and Water Technologies, kicks off today in Tel Aviv. More than 100 leading companies will take part in the two-day exhibition which is expected to attract more than 15, 000 visitors from Israel and abroad. Israel’s annual CleanTech event has gained a reputation as a high quality business platform where companies, researchers and professionals display their newest developments, novel technologies and outstanding quality services. During the exhibition there will be professional conferences, seminars and symposiums. At the exhibition, an Excellence Award in the category of Outstanding Academic Institution in the Field of Environmental Studies, is to be awarded to Israel’s Jacob Blaustein Institutes for Desert Research. The institute, which is part of Ben Gurion University, was founded in Sede-Boqer in 1974. Scientists, researchers and students work there on vital research related to desert sciences.
