Over a month into the war engulfing Israel, the country is now in what’s called a state of emergency routine. We’re seeing more and more businesses return to work, albeit under difficult conditions; with employees away on reserve duty, or offices left derelict in evacuated areas. One such business is Kenaf Ventures, a startup which operates out of one of the Gaza border communities massacred on October 7. It has developed a way to incorporate an eco-friendly plant into construction materials, and is determined to continue building a better, greener world. Because, whatever is happening here, the planet depends upon it. It’s determination is testament to the resilient spirit of Israelis, who even in the darkest times, are looking to improve our future.
