You know that feeling. Someone you meet is in a bad mood, and they snap at you. It’s upsetting, so you in turn snap at someone else, and the cycle continues. Well, the same is true of happiness. If you enter a room with positive energy, this energy rubs off on the people you meet, and continues on with them. This is why happiness expert, Edith Zakai-Or, thinks it’s vital that we all work on improving our happiness. “Emotion is contagious,” she explains. “We have a responsibility towards the people around us to bring them happiness and joy. People who bring positive emotion to their environment make the world a better place.” Yesterday was World Happiness Day, so what better time to find out how you can improve your happiness and make the world a better place in the process. Check out my interview with Edith below. Oh, and by the way, even after the last terrible year, Israel still comes in eighth in the list of happiest countries in the world, so we obviously do know what we are talking about!
