We are living in a world where fraudsters will do anything they possibly can to steal from our online accounts – from deep fakes to cloning our voices. But now Israeli startup Corsound has developed technology that can not only tell the difference between a real voice and a cloned one, but can also tell whether a photo of a customer opening a new account actually matches their voice. Say a fraudster uses a picture of A and the voice of B, Corsound’s tech will reject the application because it knows how a person will sound, based on their looks. This technology, which is based on research from MIT, already sounds pretty amazing, but now the company is working on cutting-edge tech that will sketch someone’s face based on a 5-6 second voice recording.
