The Hollywood Deadline blog recently reported that US cable network HBO has acquired a second Israeli format, three years after buying In Treatment, the first Israeli show to go international.

HBO has now acquired The Naked Truth, created by brothers Uri and Benny Barbash for Israel’s Channel 10, and will begin development and production of a pilot for the fall 2011 season. The Israeli version of The Naked Truth is a cop show set entirely inside an interrogation room and precinct.

Hollywood Deadline also reported that ABC purchased the comedy show Tall and Greenbaum, produced by Ami Amir’s Matar Productions.

In the past three years, dozens of versions of Israeli formats have been aired worldwide. They include Kidnapped, and Traffic Light on Fox, and Connected, aired on CW Television Network.
