TytoHome, a home medical kit for examining body temperature, heart, lungs, skin, ears, throat and abdomen, and sending that data to a healthcare provider, is now available at Best Buy stores across the United States and at BestBuy.com.
The healthcare industry’s first all-in-one modular device and telehealth platform for on-demand, remote medical exams, TytoHome was invented by TytoCare of Israel. The company now is headquartered in New York with R&D in Netanya, Israel.
The nationwide US availability of TytoHome follows a successful initial rollout in the Midwest.
Using the data transmitted from home via the TytoHome platform, Tyto Care healthcare provider partners available 24/7 can diagnose ear infections, sore throats, fever, cold and flu, allergies, stomach aches, upper respiratory infections, coughs, rashes and more.
Partners include American Well and LiveHealth Online, nationwide; Ochsner Health System in Louisiana and Mississippi; Sanford Health in North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota and Iowa; and Novant Health in North Carolina.
“Launching TytoHome nationally is a huge milestone for us and we are proud to be working alongside Best Buy in fulfilling their commitment to expanding digital health options for consumers,” said Dedi Gilad, CEO and co-founder of Tyto Care.
“Tyto Care’s mission has always been to make high-quality healthcare accessible and on demand, from any location, to as many people as possible.”
TytoHome is available in stores and on BestBuy.com for $299.99. Each TytoHome visit costs $59.99 or less depending on the nature of the visit and/or the user’s health insurance plan. Reimbursement is available for patients from leading insurers including Anthem, United Health Care and others.
