Mayumana was founded in Tel Aviv 13 years ago by Eylon Nofar and Boaz Berman. The group presents a unique entertainment extravaganza based on rhythm and the combination of the different artistic disciplines and skills of the performers.
“It’s entertainment. We don’t want to say its theater or its dance – it’s everything together,” says Nofar, adding that since she and Boaz are the kind of people who get bored easily, they use all their creative energy to keep things interesting.
Following incredible local success Mayumana expanded to become an international company, with two complete casts. Today there are over 100 performers in the Mayumana group from 32 countries, culled from over 10,000 auditions.
The current show, Momentum, is the first to be based on a theme, which is “time.” It boasts singing, dancing, rhythm, video art, acting, technology and more in a breathtaking complex show that is pure enjoyment and fun.
And not content to simply rake in profits, Mayumana has created the Mayumana Foundation, through which it contributes to communities in need through workshops for diverse populations like autistic children, the blind, integrated Arab and Jewish groups and more.
