You know that disconnected feeling when you realize that you’ve left your smartphone at home? No access to your contacts, calendar, incoming calls or news updates?

For people with visual and hand mobility challenges, being cut off from smartphone technology was an everyday reality — until two Israeli high-tech startups stepped into the frame.

ISRAEL21c spoke with Boaz Zilberman of Project Ray  about its smartphone for the blind, and Oded Ben-Dov of Sesame Enable  about its touch-free smartphone controlled with gestures.
