A new set of familiar faces has been added to Israeli filmmaker Joseph Cedar’s newest movie project, Oppenheimer Strategies. Steve Buscemi and Michael Sheen are the latest Hollywood cast members to sign on to the film now in production in New York and Israel, according to a report in Deadline magazine.

Richard Gere is set to play the main character Norman Oppenheimer, whose life takes an about turn after a young politician he met becomes an influential world leader.

Israeli actor Lior Ashkenazi, who starred in Footnote back in 2011, has again teamed up with Cedar.

According to Deadline, other actors set to take part in the film include Josh Charles, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Dan Stevens and Isaach De Bankolé.

“All of us are absolutely thrilled to have this incredible cast bring Joseph’s brilliant script to life,” said the film’s Israeli co-producer, Oren Moverman. “We are so excited to start shooting and to bring this remarkable film to a worldwide audience.”
