The hottest name in Israeli music right now just got even hotter. Ester Rada has signed on with the London-based international live music agency X-Ray Touring.

Rada, who is hailed for her cross-cultural sound, is the latest name on X-Ray’s roster, that also includes Eminem, Coldplay, The Pixies, The Afghan Whigs, and Green Day, among many others.

Rada is currently nominated for Best Israeli Act for the upcoming MTV EMA awards. “With strong influences from early 20th-century soul-power women such as Nina Simone and Ella Fitzgerald, a vocal range like Aretha Franklin, and a great appreciation for contemporary divas like Erykah Badu, Lauryn Hill, and Jill Scott, Rada is bringing a new voice to soul that is already spreading worldwide,” writes the MTV website.

Rada can be found performing in Europe, North America and Australia, as well as on home turf. She opened for Alicia Keys’s Israeli concert this past summer and performed at the Glastonbury Festival.

Her award-winning video to “Life Happens” is currently being aired on MTV France, East Europe, and Israel, as well as on VH1 UK.
