Martha Stewart arrives in Israel.

The magazine publisher and TV show host, who served five months in prison in 2004 for lying to investigators about a stock sale, will be scouting for a possible episode of her show in Israel.

Her itinerary will take her to Tel Aviv, the Galilee, Jerusalem, Masada and the Dead Sea. She is traveling at the invitation of Israel’s Ministry of Tourism.

“I have always wanted to come here and I am so eager to see not only the holy sites and historic monuments, but also to tour markets, visit wineries and sample Israel’s cuisine,” Stewart said as she disembarked from her flight from New York.

In the Dead Sea, Stewart tweeted to fans: “I am at the lowest point on earth, about 420 meters below sea level. The water is about 90ish degrees. The bottom drops off very quickly but no fear of sinking. Very buoyant.”
