A whopping 91.5 percent of Israeli internet users over the age of 18 use social networks, according to a new survey by the Mahshov Research Institute.

With Wi-Fi readily available around the country – and usually free of charge—it isn’t all that surprising that the survey showed 81.5% of people over the age of 12 have Internet access.

The survey also showed that 64% of Israeli Internet users – aged 12 and up — actively participate in social networks and that one in five Israeli Internet users uploads video clips.

An earlier poll showed that Israelis spend more time on Facebook than other social media surfers anywhere in the world.

But not all internet users in Israel are social media fans. According to the report, 36% of local internet users do not use social networks – with 42% of these respondents citing no interest in them at all.
