Israeli businessman Noam Gottesman is selling his home on Kensington Palace Gardens in west central London for $232 million.
His house, the UK’s priciest home, located in the Palace Green area near Kensington Palace and the Israeli embassy, covers an area of about 14,530 square feet.
According to a report in the British newspaper The Times on Sunday, the potential buyer is expected to be Indian-British steel magnate Lakshmi Mittal, considered the richest man in Britain.
The street where the house is located, which runs less than half a mile and is known as “Billionaires Row,” is one of the most expensive residential streets in the world. Currently, most of the houses on the street are used as national embassies or ambassadorial residences.
Gottesman is CEO of GLG, an investments firm that reports that it manages more than $22 billion in customers’ assets.
The Sunday Times recently added Gottesman to its richest people in Britain list, estimating his net worth at $920 million.
