More than 200 artists display their handmade wares every Tuesday and Friday on the streets of Nachlat Binyamin, one of Tel Aviv’s oldest neighborhoods. Some 10,000 visitors from Israel and abroad pass through Israel’s largest crafts fair each week.

Artists man their own stalls, selling their art works directly to market visitors.
On a recent stroll through the 25-year-old marketplace, ISRAEL21c stopped to chat with a purveyor of juggling equipment, a wood carver, an Ethiopian doll maker, a textile artist and a woman who sews novelty gloves with wings.
According to the rules of the fair, the artists must staff their own kiosks. That gives repeat customers a chance to get to know them and to order custom-made items.
