Global provider of electronics manufacturing services Flex has expanded its business ventures in Israel. It recently inaugurated a new Haifa center – which is the company’s only Flex center in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa region to offer sketch-to-scale capabilities.

Flex has been operating in Israel for more than 20 years.

In Israel, the company manufactures motherboards and network cards for Mellanox Technologies, as well as EMS components for GE Healthcare and Strauss Water.

The Haifa center – spreading over 1,200m² — boasts labs for design and engineering services, product development, electronic, optical and industrial design and mechanical engineering, firmware inspection, water purification systems, among other services.

“Flex is one of the key partners for the State of Israel in helping to build the Israeli economy. I am planning to bring 20 factories to Israel by 2020 that combine R&D and production in Israel — just like Flex does,” Ziva Eger, director of Foreign Investment and Industrial Cooperation at Israel’s Ministry of Economy and Industry, said at the opening ceremony of the Haifa lab. “We want to see more companies like Flex in Israel.”

The US-based Sketch-to-Scale solutions provider counts some 3,500 Israeli employees at its Migdal HaEmek, Yavne, Haifa and Ofakim facilities.
