The Grammy Awards are meant to be all about the music but the annual event has also become a catwalk of fashion. And one of this year’s most talked about gowns is an Inbal Dror-designed wedding dress worn by none other than Beyoncé, Queen of Pop.
Beyoncé didn’t walk the red carpet of the 58th Annual Grammy Awards but she still made a grand entrance “wearing a high-necked white lace Inbal Dror gown with tulle insets at the collar and cuffs, plus two twin slits inset with the same sheer material,” writes People Style Watch.
Beyoncé was credited for stealing the half-time show at Super Bowl 50 with her amazing performance. Some say she stole the show again, this time upstaging Record of the Year winners Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars while presenting the award to them.
“Beyoncé casually wore a wedding dress to the Grammys,” reads the headline of Elle magazine, adding as a sub-head: “The queen can do as she pleases.”
The dress is from the Inbal Dror Fall 2016 Bridal collection.
“The designer, best known for her sexy silhouettes, illusion paneling and intricate embroidery, seems a perfect fit for the Formation singer, whose not afraid to walk the carpet in something sparkly or sheer,” raves Harpers Bazaar.
Harpers also called the dress: “The bridal equivalent of hot sauce in your bag, swag.”
“It was an amazing moment to see one of my favorite stars wearing one of my designs,” Shenkar-trained Dror told BRIDES after seeing Bey in her dress. “I can’t even begin to explain the feeling. I am so excited for what is yet to come!”
