A wearable blanket now available on El Al flights has won an innovation award at the TravelPlus Amenities competition in Hamburg, Germany. The blanket was designed Idan Noyberg and Gal Bulka.

The blanket with holes for the head and arms won first place in the innovation category at the TravelPlus ceremony. The blanket stays on the passenger while he or she sleeps and does not fall off as occurs with standard blankets.

Noyberg and Bulka, who go under the name LyLy design studio, have also created a set of first-class pajamas for air travelers. The pajamas are also being used by El Al.

The LyLy team took part in the Cockpit by El Al accelerator program for startups with new technologies aimed at revolutionizing the travel and aviation industries.

The Israeli designer duo have an array of product design creations in their portfolio, including the Sheepopco popcorn bowls about which ISRAEL21c wrote in 2016.
