Cleveland Clinic physicians explore cooperative ventures in IsraelPhysicians from Cleveland Clinic were in Israel today to take part in an innovation summit hosted by The Israel Venture Capital Research Center. The one-day event, Clinical Medicine meets Innovation, in Tel Aviv was attended by 130 Israeli medical, biotech and venture capital professionals.
The US doctors are in Israel to explore cooperative ventures with Israeli biotech companies. The delegation seeks to tap into the rich R&D and human talent offered by medical and healthcare communities in both Israel and the US.
The event focused on cardiovascular and orthopedic innovations. Tom Sudow, director of business development for Cleveland Clinic’s Global Cardiovascular Innovation Center, has been on the forefront of expanding cooperation between the US and Israel. He said he was impressed with the Israeli entrepreneurial mentality and hopes to further build on a history of Cleveland-Israel investment and development of cutting-edge medical advances.
