Beyoncé and Jay Z kicked off their On the Run Tour II last week in Cardiff, Great Britain, treating fans to sentimental footage of the couple dressed in white during what appeared to be a vow renewal ceremony.

After several days of speculation from fans, Israeli designer Galia Lahav confirmed in a press release that Beyoncé was wearing the label’s “Thelma” style wedding dress.

The couture gown is from the brand’s Victorian Affinity line, inspired by Queen Victoria’s 1840 wedding gown. It features an off-the-shoulder cut with a Swarovski-embellished corset, pearl embellishments, sheer panels and billowing sleeves.

Lahav is known for her illusion backs, cascading silk tulle skirts and Italian ivory lace details on gowns sewn in Israel and sold in more than 40 stores in Europe, Australia and the United States. The brand has frequent trunk shows across the world.

“I always say we do fashion for brides, not wedding gowns. That’s what makes us think outside the box. That’s why I think we get such a good reaction and are well received abroad,” Galia Lahav Head Designer Sharon Sever told ISRAEL21c.

Last year the entire bridal party at tennis star Serena Williams’ New Orleans wedding wore cream-colored custom Galia Lahav gowns made in Israel at the label’s couture studio in Tel Aviv.
