Mobile marketing company Amobee Media Systems has been selected as a World Economic Forum (WEF) Technology Pioneer 2010.

The WEF described Amobee “as an innovator of the highest caliber, whose mobile advertising technologies and business model will have a deep impact on business and society.”

Amobee was one of several firms selected, including Twitter. Google, Infosys Technologies and Mozilla Corporation were all past winners.

Amobee’s headquarters are in Redwood City, California and its R&D is based in the city of Herzliya, on Israel’s central coast. The company has developed a platform for managing personalized marketing campaigns on all mobile mediums: SMS, MMS, video clips, mobile Internet and games.

Amobee’s investors include Accel Partners and Sequoia Capital, and strategic investors Motorola, Cisco Systems, Vodafone and Telefonica SA.
