Maybe it has to do with the allure of Israeli supermodel Bar Refaeli. Or maybe it’s due to all the hype for Israeli actress Gal Gadot’s “Wonder Woman” film hitting theaters on June 2.

Whatever the reason, men across the United States find Israeli women’s accents to be a major turn-on, according to results of a survey just released by

The Las Vegas-based international travel dating website surveyed its members in the United States to determine which foreign accents they rate as most attractive.

Israeli women’s accents were ranked sexiest by the survey’s 1,164 male respondents, with Colombian accents taking second place.

The same didn’t hold true for American women vis-a-vis Israeli men, however. The 1,423 females answering the survey rated British and Scottish accents the most appealing in a male partner.

“Accents have a tendency of taking our minds to unknown and exotic places, adding a touch of mystery and intrigue to the speaker,” said Brandon Wade, CEO and founder of “As Americans we often associate British accents with intelligence and class, both desirable qualities for a mate, while Israeli accents conjure up images of the Mediterranean.”

After Israel and Colombia, the male survey respondents ranked women’s accents from Australia, France and the American South as next best.

Female respondents also find Australian and American Southern accents sexy, but not as much as British, Scottish and Spanish accents.
