The ninth Tel Aviv Night Run takes place this evening and over 20,000 runners will jostle for the best spot on the urban running route. The 10-kilometer course passes through some of the city’s main landmarks including Habima Square and along Dizengoff Street.

The adrenaline-charged event includes lighting installations, music stages and leading DJs spinning beats to inspire the runners forward.

“The Tel Aviv-Yafo municipality cultivates a culture of urban physical activity and healthy living, including the Night Run, which has become a beloved tradition by both residents and visitors. I invite everyone to experience, within the heart of the Nonstop City, the energetic run amid the vibrant festivity shared by runners and cheerers of all ages,” said Ron Huldai, Mayor of Tel Aviv-Yafo.

Navigation apps like Google Maps and Waze have been sending messages noting which Tel Aviv streets will be closed for the event.

The run ends in the Yarkon Park with an outdoor dance party.
