Israeli startup Zeek is changing how we deal with unused coupons and gift vouchers and is helping customers rescue their money. Relying on crowdsourcing, this mobile app  (iOS and Android) helps customers sell their unused gift certificates or store credit.

“Using the Zeek application, consumers no longer have to buy merchants they don’t need just because they own a gift voucher or a store credit. They can now buy whatever they want, at a discount,” reads the website.

Zeek CEO Daniel Zelkind told Times of Israel that as much as $175 million in store credits go unused every year.

The free mobile app connects people who want gift vouchers with those who don’t need them.

“Zeek is a new service (mobile app) that lets you sell gift vouchers and store credits you don’t need, at a discount, to other users that actually need them. Gift vouchers and store credits are stored electronically helping you to organize your purchases and items to sell, and will notify you about the upcoming expiration dates, as well as your proximity to the stores that you can use them at,” reads the website.
