And this wooden structure — one of the city’s many lovely eccentricities and usually seeming so out-of-place in the Mediterranean heat — today seemed perfectly at home.
As of this moment, snow continues to fall, many parts of the city are without power hundreds of out-of-towners are stranded in temporary shelters, and there are many Jerusalemites who won’t make it home for Shabbath. May it be as peaceful and restful as possible and may this storm pass so we can get back to our usual crazy existence. Shabbat Shalom!
