More than 20,000 Israelis turned out in force to attend the funeral of lone Israeli-American IDF soldier Nissim Sean Carmeli.

He was buried on Monday in Haifa after being killed in fighting in Gaza the day before. A Macabbi-Haifa fan, the club put out a request to fans to attend the Texan’s funeral after American relatives said they were worried very few people would attend his funeral.
